Philharmonic At The Library: Music Of The Baroque

Doha Baroque Ensemble, with Ines Wein as concertmaster, explores Baroque music in its German, French and Italian varieties. This program illustrates the many creative forms and styles of the Baroque period in music, which lasted from 1600 to 1750.

If you would like to listen to the QNL's music online continue reading. They are now offering playlists for Qatar residents to listen to music in advance of Philharmonic concerts. Any QNL member can listen to the music, which is provided through Naxos Music Library, at no cost. The lists are curated by Sebastian Wilke, QNL’s Senior Information Services Librarian for Humanities, so listeners can know they’re hearing relevant and excellent performances.

How to Listen

Here’s how you as a Qatar resident can use the playlists:

1. Register with QNL, creating your account using a Qatar ID at https://library.qnl.qa/selfreg
You’ll receive a barcode and PIN.

2. Go to the Naxos Music Library at http://0-qnlib.naxosmusiclibrary.com.library.qnl.qa/homepage.asp
You’ll be asked for your barcode and PIN.

3. Select “playlists” from the toolbar, then “Qatar Philharmonic concert playlists.” You can then enjoy the music!
